Sweden’s biggest specialist timber group
AB Borgen is the parent company in Sweden’s biggest specialist timber group. The Group is characterised by its attention to quality, from the acquisition of raw material to sales. The Group’s task is to process specialist timber and Rundvirke Skog AB supplies the production units with the specific raw material.
Primary activities are production, marketing and sales of timber products, with an emphasis on telegraph and power line poles, high quality carpentry components, sleepers and posts for agricultural use.
Rundvirke Poles AB is one of Europe’s largest producers of power line and telegraph poles. AB Rundvirke processes veneer logs for carpentry and window components. AT Träkomponent manufactures glued products, primarily for the window industry. Octowood AB produces posts for agricultural use.
The Group has production sites in Ludvika, Marmaverken, Kilafors, Edsbyn and Kälarne in Sweden, as well as in Kehra in Estonia. There are sales offices in Ludvika, Marmaverken and Kälarne in Sweden, Hamar in Norway and Bordeaux in France.
